Solray Radiant Panels from Comyn Ching & Co are maintaining their excellent reputation as the market leaders in energy efficient and space saving radiant heating, with a £60,000 installation in the new Community Access & Learning Centre at Angus College, Arbroath. The Community Access & Learning Centre is a new £6.9 million state-of-the-art new facility which was opened in June 2004 by HRH Her Majesty the Queen. Angus College is one of the most highly respected Further Education Colleges with a vast number of excellent full and part time as well as leisure and vocational courses. A total of 188 perimeter ceiling panels have been installed throughout the Community Access & Learning Centre that houses science as well as technology labs, benefiting all students and staff not only as an energy efficient heating solution, but also as a space saving initiative. The Radiant Panels are situated far from the reach of staff and pupils, ensuring that they are completely tamper-proof, whilst also providing a discrete and aesthetically pleasing alternative to intrusive, difficult to clean radiators. The main contractors for the job were Hills Mechanical. The project was completed in October 2003. Solray is the market-leading brand in Radiant Panels with its products featuring in a vast number of schools and other public sector projects currently taking place across the country. They are versatile enough for completely unobtrusive wall, floor or ceiling installation and can be used with low or medium temperature hot water, steam or electricity, thus minimising the pipework runs, boxing, controls and other components that would normally be required. |
